Short version: we set no tracking or advertising cookies, so there is no cookie banner to click through.
What we use instead of cookies
- Our own analytics, without cookies. We count page views, clicks, scroll depth and time on page with a small first-party script. It stores nothing that identifies you: no cookie, and no IP address. Visitors are counted with a one-way hash that changes every day. Details are in the privacy policy.
- A session id in your tab. Your browser tab keeps a random id (sessionStorage, key
asid) so the pages of one visit can be grouped. It is not a cookie, is never sent to anyone else, and disappears when you close the tab. - Your saved sauna designs. The configurator saves designs in your own browser (localStorage, key
ms-builds). They never reach us.
Others that may set cookies
- Cloudflare hosts and protects the site. It may set strictly necessary security cookies (for example to tell people from bots). These are not used for advertising.
- YouTube, only when you press play on a builder’s video. Videos load from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and nothing loads from YouTube until you press play.
- Sellers you visit, and the affiliate network on the way. When you click through to a seller, the click may pass through an affiliate network (currently Sovrn Commerce), and the network and the seller set their own cookies under their own policies. That is how a seller knows a visit came from us. This only happens when you click out; nothing from an affiliate network loads on our pages.
Your choices
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, our analytics count the page view only: no session id, clicks or scroll data.
- You can clear session and local storage in your browser’s settings at any time.
